10 Benefits of Vibration Plate Training

Vibration plates may be new to the gym market but they come with an impressive pedigree.

Nasa astronauts nowadays make use of vibration plates in their training. They’re already fit people to start with of course but they need to get even fitter. They need to improve flexibility and strength in their bodies and it’s been found that power plates are an ideal way of achieving this. This works because vibration plates help to develop muscles and enhance co-ordination. Superb co-ordination is an essential quality in anyone who aspires to be an astronaut and we lesser mortals find it very useful too.

So there’s four benefits of using a power vibration plate. You get better bodily flexibility and increased strength. You develop all your muscles and your co-ordination gets better. That’s not a bad start but it doesn’t end there.

Whatever level of fitness you start from, you’ll get the benefits of developing muscle power, stimulating the metabolism, thereby losing some weight, and just improving your overall health and fitness. Moreover you’ll maintain the improvements. That’s eight benefits from using power vibration plates so far, and you’re not even aiming to be an astronaut. Or maybe you are, one shouldn’t make such assumptions!

The benefits don’t end there, there’s more to come. Vibration power plates are a great help in improving the circulation of blood which is good for anyone. Ladies in particular; many of you often feel stressed about the presence cellulite in certain areas. You can gain two benefits at once! The aforementioned improvement in circulation will help you to get rid of the cellulite and regular use of a power vibration plate has proved to be a great reducer of stress levels generally. That’s another three benefits making eleven so far though some may argue that one or two are really being quoted twice.

That being the case let’s keep on looking at the benefits of using vibration power plates. One such benefit is time. You’ll find that by using power vibration plates your total time spent on training can be reduced without losing any of the benefits. Another is effort saved. The effort needed to use power plates is quite a bit less than that required for other forms of training. Then there’s osteoporosis in later life which can afflict anyone. Regular use of one of these amazing pieces of kit should help to considerably reduce the likelihood of this most debilitating condition developing. It does so by encouraging the build up of mineral density in the bones.

As if that wasn’t enough, the use of a power vibration plate can help prevent you developing varicose veins in your limbs. On top of all that you’ll find that, not only are you not likely to sustain injuries from their use, but with their correct use, recovery from injuries sustained elsewhere is much quicker than would otherwise be the case.

When you think about it that also suggests that if you suffer from some old injury or disability that makes it difficult or even impossible to use other types of gym equipment, power vibration plates may be just what you need. It’s worth arty anyway.

That won’t be right for everyone of course. It depends on what your targets are and what the purpose of your training might be, but in any case it’ll get you off to a great start.

The trouble with trying to set out a given number of benefits to be gained from using these machines is that the more you look into it, the more benefits keep popping up. Vibration power plates haven’t been around all that long and there’s little doubt that as time goes by and more and more of them are in use ever more benefits will become apparent. Combined with Laser Liposuction (Lipo Infra Light) and the body sculpting possibilities increase even further.

Lipo Infra Light vs Traditional Liposuction

Many people are put off by the invasiveness of traditional liposuction and all the risks that are associated with the procedure. Lipo Infra Light is a new generation of laser lipolysis where the laser’s energy breaks down the cell membrane resulting in the release of the cells contents, this is where Lipo Infra Light and traditional liposuction differ, there is absolutely no surgery involved at all, because of this difference there are many advantages that comes with Lipo Infra Light and these include:

No anaesthesia
You will not have to have any type of anaesthesia at all, general or local, because there is no surgery involved, and no pain will be felt, unlike traditional liposuction where you have to have a general anaesthetic and even with smart lipo you have to have a local anaesthetic, so there are no risks that can be associated with any type of anaesthetic.

No down time
With Lipo Infra Light you are free to carry out your normal activities immediately after the treatment, as there is no pain or discomfort at all, unlike traditional liposuction where you have to rest for a long time, even with smart lipo you need a few days to recover.

No risk of infection
As there is no incision with Lipo Infra Light there is absolutely no risk of infection, compared to traditional liposuction which is very invasive and so widens the risk of infections.

Lipo Infra Light encourages Lymphatic Drainage
Unlike I-Lipo and other laser based techniques, Lipo Infra Light has a special microprocessor which is able to direct the thermal energy to the areas affected by fatty tissues or cellulite. By aiming the light directly to the fatty tissue the infra red radiation encourages a biological response which in turn leads to a recovery in the cells functions and a consequent improvement in the micro-circulation.

More areas can be treated
Lipo Infra Light offers more choice of body parts that can be treated, as the lasers used are very accurate and target certain fat cells without harming the surrounding areas and so it can be used on even the most sensitive and thinnest of areas. Traditional liposuction is far too invasive for most of the sensitive parts of the body.

Tightens skin and reduces cellulite
Lipo Infra Light has the great advantage of tightening the skin and reducing cellulite, traditional liposuction doesn’t possess this great advantage and in fact leaves the skin saggy after the procedure has been performed.

Lipo Infra Light is quicker
One treatment with Lipo Infra Light takes just over 30 minutes, compared to traditional liposuction which takes a few hours for the procedure to be performed.

Lipo Infra Light is cheaper
Lipo Infra Light is significantly cheaper than traditional liposuction and even other laser and ultrasound techniques, and offers similar results.

No after care
You will not need any follow up appointments with Lipo Infra Light because there is no surgery and no wounds involved that have to be checked up on.

As you can see there are significantly greater advantages compared to traditional liposuction, so if you want the same results without the associated risks, give Lipo Infra Light a try.

Ecolite – Innovation in the delivery of IPL treatments

With the introduction of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) providing an alternative to laser, particularly in the delivery of aesthetic and cosmetic treatments, the company turned its attention to the beauty and cosmetics industry and created the Ecolite brand. The aim was to create a unique IPL concept that provided all the benefits of existing IPL systems but in a compact, cost effective way to ensure these highly effective aesthetic treatments were available to all beauty professionals and their clients.

A Brief Overview of Laser Liposuction

Laser Liposuction offers a minimally invasive, simple way to dramatically improve the way a person looks. While it is not a solution for the extremely obese, it is perfect for the great number of people who are in generally good shape, but who remain frustrated by fat that won’t burn away. Laser liposuction is scientifically proven to eliminate that fat and sculpt the body in to a more desirable shape.

A smart diet combined with a well planned and consistent exercise regimen is the best way to lose weight and to stay in shape. There are numerous doctor-approved diet programs readily available at any local book shop, featuring healthy, tasty recipes and dieting concepts that have stood up to in-depth medical scrutiny. For a small investment in four or five training sessions at your local gym, you can define an exercise regimen with a training professional that will meet your goals without straining or damaging your body.

While diet and exercise can help you to stay in shape, they are not always effective for eliminating certain persistent areas. Underarm pockets, excess fat on the buttocks, and frustrating belly fat often don’t respond to diet regimens. It is also difficult to target these areas with exercise.

In our modern, photo-shopped society, body ideals are more omnipresent and less attainable than ever. You can’t buy groceries without being assailed by images of models, surrounded by magazine covers squawking about the latest diet trends. And while obesity is at an all time high, Americans are also spending record amounts of money on gym memberships, diet programs, exercise equipment, and cosmetic surgery.

Those frustrating areas of persistent fat can actually be a stronger motivation for extremes of diet and exercise than obesity. They seem to hold on even when we do everything we can to get rid of them, marring an otherwise well toned physique with imperfection. Because of this, they can drive otherwise healthy people to engage in unhealthy behaviours.

The market is full of extreme diets that promise rapid weight loss. The infamous amphetamine-like diet pills are the most infamous, but there are plenty of derivatives. Often they do get results, but those results come at a price. Extreme diets are almost universally unhealthy, and they should be avoided except under close medical supervision.

Extreme exercise regimens can also be attractive to someone who can’t get rid of a pooch or a chicken wing. Excessive exercise, however, can be extremely damaging, and because short-term muscle strain is often covered up by the endorphin rush we get from physical activity, it is possible to cause long-term damage that will make it harder for us to exercise and stay fit in years to come. Ironically, because those trying to conquer pesky fat tend to target an area with excessive workouts, they may cause damage to that area, making it impossible for them to keep it in shape in the future.

Laser liposuction, on the other hand, targets the problem area and literally burns the fat away. Compared to extremes of diet or exercise, laser liposuction is the safe way to deal with persistent pockets of fat.

How does Intense Pulsed Light work?

The Intense Pulsed Light system releases precisely controlled strong pulses of light that are absorbed by melanin, the pigment in hair. The absorbed light heats the hair, which damages or destroys the re-growth potential of the follicle, all without damaging the surrounding tissue.

How does the treatment feel?

No anesthesia is required and most clients don’t experience any discomfort at all. Sensations vary but most describe it as a very short flick on the skin or similar to a rubber band snapping onto the skin.

How many treatments are necessary?

Only hair in the active growth stage of the growth cycle is affected, therefore multiple treatments are needed. Treatment is conducted every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the site treated, until a satisfactory result is seen. The number of treatments required varies but typically 6 or more treatments are required for maximum results.

What will I see after the treatment?

The hair follicles are damaged by heat but the hairs remain in the follicles. The hairs fall out after 1-3 weeks as the epidermis renews. During this period the hair will seem to ‘grow’ as they are pushed out by the new epidermis. After treatment the hairs are loose in the follicle and can sometimes be easily pulled out with tweezers.

Are there any side effects?

The skin may become red immediately after treatment, although most clients don’t experience any side effects. Any skin reaction usually disappears within a few hours. We recommend 100% aloe vera gel as this has cooling and soothing properties, Sunscreen should be used to avoid exposure to sunlight during the treatment period. Sun tanning activates the melanin in the skin which could result in pigmentation marks. Sunbeds should not be used for the duration of the treatment course.

How long does each treatment take?

Treatments can take from 15 mins to an hour, depending on the area being treated.

How should I prepare for an IPL treatment?

Hairs in the area to be treated should be 1 to 2 mm long. The treated area is shaved prior to treatment to maximise the transmission of the IPL energy. Long hairs absorb the light and can prevent penetration of the follicle. If you normally shave the area to be treated, you can continue to shave up to the day of treatment. You must not pluck, wax or bleach the area. Avoid epilation and waxing 4 weeks prior to your treatment. This ensures as many follicles as possible contain a hair that can be destroyed by the light. Tanning should also be avoided one month prior to treatment and during the entire treatment process.

After the course you should avoid strong sun light for 4-5 days as the treated skin is particularly sensitive to UV and sun-light. On the day of the treatment avoid use of deodorants, perfumed products or aromatherapy oils. A patch test will be carried out at least 24 hours before the time of treatment time.
